With many years of Experience travelling the length and breadth of Southern Africa the Explorer Team are pleased to offer our Fully Equipped Land Rover 4WD vehicles and Campers. Each vehicle is packed with accessories specifically designed for African conditions.

Based in Johannesburg, South Africa we will meet you at Johannesburg International Airport (O R Tambo Airport) for a short 15 minute transfer to collect your Land Rover. No long transfers in a hot bus, just a quick friendly efficient service from the Explorer team.

We are located close to the main routes leading to Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique. So you are very quickly away on your Self-Drive Safari.

Want to take delivery of your Self-Drive Land Rover in Windhoek, Maun, Kasane, Livingstone, Lusaka, Durban or Cape Town? We would be pleased to meet you at any of these locations with your vehicle.

We can arrange Driver Training to allow you to tackle the African Off Road tracks with complete confidence. A short half day course given by fully qualified Land Rover instructors will ensure that you have the skills and knowledge to handle the 4X4 Hire Land Rover in even the toughest conditions. You will also learn how to protect the environment, how to take only photo’s and leave only tyre tracks.
