Explore the harshly beautiful scenery of Namibia. Gaze into the Fish River Canyon. View the Cape Cross Seal colony. View game on the Etosha Pan.
Day 1.
Departing either from Johannesburg or Cape Town we head for Upington in the Northern Cape region. Overnight in a chalet overlooking the Orange River.
Day 2.
We enter Namibia and head for Ai-Ais and the Fish River Canyon. We camp for 2 nights.
Day 3.
At leisure to explore the Fish River Canyon.
Day 4.
Head towards the West Coast and the town of Luderitz. Check into a lodge fro 2 nights.
Day 5.
At leisure to explore Luderitz and the Ghost Town in the desert.
Day 6.
Back into the Namib Desert we arrive in Sessrium in the afternoon. We camp for 2 nights.
Day 7.
Up before sunrise we enter the Sossusvlei Reserve to catch the first rays of the early morning sun over the highest sand dunes in the world.
Day 8.
Today we arrive in Swakopmund and check into chalet accommodation for 3 nights.
Day 9 and Day 10.
Time to explore the coastal dune belt, the Welwitchia drive to view these ancient plants. Maybe take a Quad bike into the dunes (not included).
Day 11.
Drive north via Henties Bay and onwards to Cape Cross Seal colony. This large colony announces itself long before you arrive. Overnight in Henties Bay.
Day 12.
Henties Bay to Spitzkoppe. Camp for 2 nights at Spitzkoppe Rest Camp.
Day 13.
Explore the Spitzkoppe Mountain range and surrounding desert.
Day 14.
Drive to Etosha Pan Game Reserve. Camp for 2 nights at Okaukuejo Camp.
Day 15.
At Leisure to explore western Etosha Pan.
Day 16.
Drive across Etosha Pan Park to Namutoni Camp.
Day 17.
At leisure to explore eastern Etosha Pan.
Day 18.
Departing Etosha we head for Windhoek, then onwards through Gobabis the gateway to the Trans-Kalahari and our overnight lodge accommodation.
Day 19.
After entering Botswana we take the Trans-Kalahari highway before clearing the border into South Africa and our last nights stay at a Lodge.
Day 20.
Today we take a relaxed drive to Johannesburg arriving in plenty of time for the flight home.
